"The end of the 20th century is a period of extreme cleanliness where anti-bacterial products rid our bodies of unwanted bacteria. Ironically, our bodies require this undesirable bacteria in order to remain healthy. We have become frightened of our own bodies that we cannot accept the realities of our physical nature. This video will depict images of repeated body movements, washing exercises, defecation and other sexually induced motions".
Jeremy Drummond completed his BFA at University of Western Ontario in 1999. He has exhibited his video work since 1986 at such venues as Gallery 101, Ottawa, Media City V, Windsor, The Art Lab, University of Western Ont. He will be premiering a new work in the upcoming Images Festival 2000.

Pleasure Dome is a year-round film and video exhibition group dedicated to the presentation of experimental film and video. The 2002/2003 Board of Directors/ Programming Collective is Roberto Ariganello, Daniel Cockburn, Arthur Conway, Linda Feesey, Graham Hollings, Carolyn Kane, Chris Kennedy, Jinhan Ko, Stefan St-Laurent, Louise Liliefeldt, Nadia Sistonen, and Sylvie Wisniewski. Tom Taylor is the Program Coordinator. Pleasure Dome acknowledges the support of our members, the Ontario Arts Council, the Canada Council for the Arts, Media Arts Office, the City of Toronto through the Toronto Arts Council, the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre, Trinity Square Video, InterAccess and V Tape.
